He makes sure the Public Works/Utilities department provides exceptional and reliable utility services for the Boulder City community, including electric, water, wastewater and solid waste utilities. Jamie was born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in Port Jervis, New York, an upstate community similar to Boulder City, with the small-town benefits of knowing one another for generations. He enlisted in the United States Air Force as an Aerospace Ground Equipment Mechanic. Upon discharge, his experience served him well as a crane mechanic and German crane specialist. Continuing along that path, he then became a Class A Water Operator for the state of Pennsylvania. His vast resume includes roles as a Water Company Supervisor and Public Works Director for Hemlock Farms Community Association, one of the largest privately-owned communities in the Northeast. While scrolling on LinkedIn, he saw the Director of Public Works position post for Boulder City and was subsequently hired to the position in September 2022. By May 2024, Jamie left Public Works for the private sector but subsequently returned to Boulder City to work in the Utilities department. Prior to coming back to Boulder City, he was the Director of Public Works for the City of Kingman, Arizona. Jamie is married to Kat (Kathy), who he has known since middle school. She has been a middle school science teacher for more than twenty years and served as a union president. They have two adult sons, Mitchell and Hunter, daughters-in-law, Karen and Sidney, and two grandsons, Carson and Diego.
